GUARANTEES AND REPLACEMENTS

All perennial (woody, semi-woody and herbaceous) balled & burlapped and potted plants are guaranteed each on a one (1) time only replacement basis, provided our care instructions are followed. Please note the available care handouts below.

WOODY ORNAMENTALS 100% - This includes trees, shrubs and bushes except those noted under SEMI-WOODY ORNAMENTALS. Woody Ornamentals are perennials that have woody persistent stems through the winter and sprout from those stems the following Spring. This includes: ACER - Maple, BETULA - Birch, CERCIS - Redbud, CORNUS - Dogwoods, FRAXINUS - Ash, GLEDITSIA - Honeylocust, JUNIPERUS - Juniper, MAGNOLIA - Magnolia, PICEA - Spruce, PINUS - Pine, PRUNUS - Cherry, QUERCUS - Oak, SPIREA - Spiraea, ULMUS - Elm, VIBURNUM - Viburnum and many others.
1 (one) year from date of installation when installed by Landscape Designs, Inc. 90 days from date of purchase when installed by the owner. If the owner complies with our detailed planting & care instructions, then 1 (one) year from date of purchase.

SEMI-WOODY ORNAMENTALS 100% - Semi-Woody ornamentals are perennials that may or may not have persistent woody stems over the winter. Many of these should be cut to 4-6" from the ground in March to encourage new growth. This includes: ABELIA - Abelia, ABE-LIOPHYLLUM - White Forsythia, AMPELOPSIS - Porcelain Vine, BUDDLEIA - Butterfly Bush, CALLUNA ERICA - Heath and Heather, CALYCANTHUS - Carolina Allspice, CARYOPTERIS - Blue Mist Spirea, CLEMATIS - Clematis, COTINUS - Smoke Bush, CYTISUS & GENISTA - Broom, EUONYMUS fortunie, HIBISCUS - Hibiscus, HYDRANGEA macrophylla, H. arborescens & H. quercifolia - Hydrangea, HYPERICUM - St. John's Wort, KERRIA - Kerria, MAHONIA - Oregon Grape Holly, ROSA - Roses, SYMPHORICARPOS - Coral Berry, VITEX - Vitex and WEIGELA - Weigela.
90 days from date of purchases or installation. Purchased after October 1, and immediately installed, all semi-woody plants are guaranteed through June 30 of the following year.

HERBACEOUS PERENNIALS 100% - Herbaceous Perennials die to the ground in the Autumn and sprout from underground stems, roots, rhizomes, tubers and bulbs.
90 days from date of purchase. If purchased after Oct. 1, and immediately installed, all herbaceous perennials are guaranteed through June 30 of the following year.

BARE ROOT woody ornamentals and perennials are guaranteed for 50% of the price paid from 1 (one) year from date of installation when installed by Landscape Designs, Inc. 90 days from date of purchase when installed by the owner.

SPRING BULBS 90% - until July 1 of the year following purchase date and installation.

SOD/SEEDING 100% - 30 days from date of installation.

THE SALES RECEIPT MUST BE PRESENTED BEFORE ANY REPLACEMENTS CAN BE MADE.

Our guarantee covers ONLY the plants' original PAID PRICE with any increase in the cost of the plant being additional. Any required replacements, MUST be sent in writing or returned to Landscape Designs, Inc. within the above specified guaranteed time(s). ALL repositioned existing on site plants are NOT included under any guarantee. Discounted plants are only guaranteed for what you paid for them. The price you paid is credited toward the plant's replacement cost. All plants must be paid for within the terms of the proposal/contact or invoice terms in order to have a valid guarantee. If payments are not made within those terms, all guarantees are void.

ALL REPLACEMENTS ARE PENDING AVAILABILITY FROM THE ORIGINAL SOURCE(S).

Guarantees do not cover plants killed or damaged due to rabbits, rodents or other animals, insects, mechanical damage, neglect or natural disasters. All plants planted in pots or planter boxes are not covered by any guarantee. If the plant is out of stock, a credit may be obtained or applied toward another purchase. Sorry, no refunds are given.
Many plants, including very common ones, may cause physical intoxication or poisoning. Since reaction to many of these intoxicants or poisons is often specific to individuals, Landscape Designs, Inc. cannot be held liable for injury, potential or realized, due to the contact or ingestion of any plant. WATERING

WATERING, of all plants, is the RESPONSIBILITY of the OWNER. The Landscape Designs, Inc. is responsible for ONLY the FIRST WATERING immediately following comprehensive installation by Landscape Designs, Inc. SUBSEQUENT WATERING is the RESPONSIBILITY of the OWNER and NOT Landscape Designs, Inc. When the owner installs plants, ALL WATERING is the responsibility of the OWNER and not Landscape Designs, Inc. When watering plants, it is imperative that normal tap water is used and not artificially softened water. Water softening salts are detrimental, if not fatal, to plants. Watering with artificially softened water voids all guarantees. Simple tests are available to detect the type of water used.

ALL GUARANTEES ARE VOID IF OWNER ELECTS TO HAVE AN AUTOMATIC INGROUND IRRIGATION SYSTEM ESTABLISH NON-TURF PLANTS OR REPOSITIONS THE PLANT FOLLOWING ITS ORIGINAL INSTALLATION.
