‘Shade Trees for the Residential Landscape’
Besides Acer-Maple, Betula-Birch, Gleditsia-Honeylocust and Quercus-Oak trees, Steve will also discuss other lesser-known trees such as Aesculus-Buckeye, Cladrastis-Yellowwood, Fagus-Beech, etc. Steve will also discuss pests, diseases and why some trees may not be suitable for residential landscaping.

‘Niwaki Pruning’
Most gardeners know about Bonsai – which means growing a woody plant in a container with a diminutiveappearance. Niwaki is the pruning and shaping of a woody ornamental in the garden to give an ornamental appeal to a woody plant to create a unique appearance. General pruning concepts will also be discussed.
